The road less followed

Exactly one month ago today, I decided to resign from my career of 5 years and take on a new challenge. During the past month I have totally stepped out of my comfort zone and I have survived. The first 2 weeks allowed me to spend some much needed time at home. This was just what I needed….as well as  what my dogs needed. I have owned my home for 11 years and this is the most I have ever been it at one time. This helped me with the uncertainties that I was about to face in my new career path. I had some time to rest and reflect on why I decided to take on a new career.

Am I totally uncomfortable…..of course! Am I happy that I made the change….absolutely! Change is always scary, but always good. Sometimes we become so comfortable that we forget that we need to mix things up a bit to keep our learning process going. As a true introvert, being alone is more relaxing to me than being surrounded by new people and new places. Every day I am realizing that I can make a difference in someone’s career with the knowledge and skills that I have to offer.

In order to succeed we need to take chances…..
